A really lovely, modern science museum and easonably priced entrance. A wide range of exhibits with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Reconstructed old shops, steam engines, cars, planes, guns and war history, ancient history, photography and microscopy, computer history and playable computer games. And much, much more. All presented in a modern and engaging way. There's also a 'hands on' science area where you can have fun and learn a lot! Although there's no cafe a number of vending machines provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches (pretty good!), chocolate and snacks. And they all take contactless card payment. A good place to take the kids for 3-4 hours. Highly recommend!

A fantatsic museum filled with an array of technological pieces and activities for children and adults. I spent three hours looking at cars, motorcycles, musical instruments and more. The experience was both entertaining and rewarding. I recommend the museum highly - one of the best attractions in Brno.
This is an interesting Technical Museum with many display topics including cars, motorbikes, photography, miscroscopy, computing, aeronautics, dentistry, engines, horology, iron making & jewellery making. There is an educational area for children on the top floor. My entrance fee was 70Kc...about 2.50. I spent 1_1/2hrs there. Some displays have English signage but I would comment that most do not. There is no cafe but there were drinks machines. The museum was not busy for a Saturday morning.
Good museum, has many exhibits. Unfortunately we could not stay longer than hour, because there was no air conditioning. On the second floor we felt suffocated. The explanation in most exhibits is in Czech. However there is an application for the tour but it is not updated. Also, a little annoying this witj the museum employees to follow you like your shadow.... mercy.
Fans of technology and DIY simply have to visit this museum. You can look forward to seeing historical vehicles, a blacksmith’s shop, steam engines, and much more. A blacksmith’s shop, an old iron mill, steam engines, or a water mill, the history of aviation, or an exposition dedicated to making cutlery. In short, the Technical Museum in Brno has a lot to offer, and it is worth visiting the South Moravian capital because of it. At present, the Museum has almost twenty permanent expositions in addition to other exhibitions and six technical monuments.
A very nice museum, with a broad collection. You learn a lot during a visit there. It is worth a visit. Easy to reach by tram. The ride to there is also interesting if you like architecture.
This was quite a nice museum, and it was larger than I expected. There were a wide variety of topics, so most everyone will find something they are interested in. For example, there are old cars, huge turbine machinery, Braille printing, instrument mechanics, and metallurgy, among others. A few exhibits had full English translations, but most did not, and for those, the only English was a floating info sheet with general information about the topic. This place would be really great for kids because it has little activities for them all over, plus a big experimentation/play area on the top story.
The place is very nice! Reserve at least 3 hours for the visit
