This monument stands in tribute to Leoš Janácek, a Czech composer, musical theorist, and teacher, who like Anton Dvorak took inspiration from Slavic folk music to create an updated and original, modern musical style based on it. This monument is much larger than life at nearly four meters high. It's a bronze statue and depicts and elderly Janácek in with his eyes closed as if deep in thought. He is wearing a long coat, but otherwise with little detail. The monument can be found in front of Janacek's Theatre, which was also named after him. The monument is not a must see, it's worth visiting when combined with a visit to Koliště Park and all the monuments there.

Krásná socha pana Janáčka, bylo by hřích ji nemít vedle Janáčkova divadla. V lete je zde hezke posezeni u fontan.
