Really nice place. Walked around enjoyed the views of Brno. The surrounding park is pretty nice too. Lots of benches to rest on, after walking up the hill, and enjoy the view.

I loved Brno. Well about this place, we visited it on truly hot weather. To the get to the top its not so easy as I thought. But trust me that it is worth your time. The view is really amazing. And all long the way to the castle you are presented with gardens and a lot of trees. When you reached this place, you can find also some bars and some place to chill. I recommend this place.

Even though it's closed at the moment well worth to walk up there and enjoy the stunning view of the city.

Highly recommend the hike up through the parkland forest to get to this fortress. You can enjoy quite a bit of the outside for free, however there are several areas and exhibits and sights you can only enjoy if you have purchased passes for them. The underground dungeon/jail system is eerie and brings forth life of being a prisoner over the many centuries of military use, including WW2. There is also the bell tower to climb with outstanding 360 degree views across the city. Inside the fortress are exhibits about the history of Brno. There are 2 cafes to relax in for a drink or cake or a meal - quite affordable and with a nice atmosphere. Overall it is an excellent way to spend half your day (several hours). If you have mobility issues you will be limited with the number of things you will be able to access as there are a LOT of stairs and lots of uneven ground (historical flooring surfaces worn over centuries).

I came here in the winter. snow and cold. everything is being repaired. but i feel very good even though there is not so much fun. From the upper position of the castle you can see the whole city. I think in the spring or summer the scenery will be great. Hi welcome back in autumn 2019 here, last year i have been here in winter but this year..... so beautiful again, everything have color like yellow, orange, red,.. and falling. So romantic and gentle. Good weather, nice sunshine , walking around with camera and take a picture, sometimes sitdown and look at tree falling and all of city from castle

We didn't have the time to visit inside, but outside was beautiful! Don't forget to get a cup of coffee at the stables, very friendly staff there and good prices(bring cash)
