The home of the Czech Philharmonic does not disappoint. This is a wonderful place to hear music and feel the weight of history all around you. Prague has many times been considered the cultural capital of Europe and being in this grand concert venue makes it easy to see why that is the case. The acoustics are second to none and the layout of the venue means there isn’t a bad seat in the house. We were fortunate enough to see an amazing performance of an all Beethoven program and it was one of the more memorable experiences of our two week trip through central and Eastern Europe. I do recommend the balcony seating, row 1 middle if you can grab it. Also, if you’re traveling from the states like we were do note that the people tend to get pretty dressed up for the performance. Plenty of people in black tie and suits. We were traveling light so I wore slacks and a nice sweater which was fine and perfectly acceptable. But I was very much in the minority.

Saw a very interesting collection called “A Cool Breeze” in this free gallery which was pretty empty even on an extremely busy day for the city otherwise. Recommend stopping by, you have little to lose

We weren’t able to access the Czech Philharmonic but it is very beautiful. If you like classical music or similar events, it is a very emblematic spot in the city to enjoy them!

This was my first visit and it was very enjoyable. Many forms of art were on display from film to large portraits. Quiet and comfortable and not too busy.

Amazing place. 125 years of music history. If you are in Prague and a classical music lover definitely attend a concert. I attended the concert of Leonidas Kavakos who played Ludwig van Beethoven in Dvorak hall.
