Best hotel I stayed in. Close to nature, close to the city (it has it's own funicular!). Lavish dinner hall with great selection of meals (e.g. there is always a good fish, and often game meat). Cosy café with very nice service. Various of spa procedures with skilled and pleasant nurses / instructors. Nothing to complain about.

A superb hotel worth just visiting (don't need to have a room) go and enjoy one of their crepes ice-cream or just a coffee. Nice atmosphere, no doubt this hotel inspired the one for the Grand hotel budapest movie
We had high hopes but ended up being disappointed as it is a well-rated hotel. We checked in literally a couple minutes before 14:00 and was told the room might not be ready. Although it was, this set an early tone. We asked whether the bar was open and even went to check the sign downstairs - it says it is open daily until 3:00 am - it is not open daily. We were sad because we returned to the hotel early from our night out for a drink and just didn't have the heart to walk back to the center in the rain after we learned it was closed. As for breakfast, it is supposed to be opened until 11:00. We arrived at 10:20 and they started cleaning up the buffet at around 10:30. We barely sat down and got to eat. We felt very rushed. Another couple showed up a little later than us and no one seemed to care to help them. Upon check out, the staff member was not assisting anyone yet we were ignored. Another little note, there is no signage in the hotel. We spent so much time trying to figure out how to get to the pool, the funicular, the closed bar, and even exit at one point. It's not a big deal, but it's a big place and we felt silly trying to find our way everywhere. On the plus side, the rooms were very big and clean, beautiful views, we loved taking the funicular, and sitting on the balcony. We were worried about no air conditioner in August but the big doors let through a nice air flow and we slept really great. It was a beautiful stay but we will go elsewhere next time.

Our stay was splendid. We’ve fallen in love with the city, the people and the hotel. The hotel is up high away from the centre so the views you get are spectacular. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially the lovely lady we met on the first trip to the pool. You have options of getting down to the centre but the best way and probably most enjoyable is the cable car. The centre of the town is beautiful during the day. However, be prepared for the evening as the first night took my breath away. It’s a continuous cycle as you at forever discovering new views. The stay was rather short but I’ve been promised that we’ll be back again and this time for longer.
We were staying there for two weeks during Christmas and the New Year's Eve 2020. I really want to share my impression as I am very disappointed. I stayed at Imperial hotel for the 4th time. And this is not without reason. It is really awesome! Their service, food, nature and view made us want to come there over and over again. New Year is one of the most important holidays in my culture, and Imperial was always a perfect place to celebrate it. However, this time I was shocked. The food was worse than at regular dinner. Music was too loud, there was lack of performances. Counting till 00.00 was not organized. There was no generall theme. They've got the fifths star but they made neither a real good show, nor decorations. There was no holiday feeling. The only thing I need to tell was perfect are fireworks. I hope they'll take my review into account, improve it and celebrate New Year's Eve as great as before.
I stayed the hotel in October for 3days. I was really disappointed because the food served from restaurant seemed reuse it. Some bread they provided was too dry to eat but some were fresh. The fruits were not fresh at all. I had eaten lunch and breakfast but it wasn't worth. and also The front desk service was really bad they did not explain about funicular as well. the people who staying the hotel gave me nesscery information like time and how to get it. I am not recommend it and I would not go again. it was not 4 star hotel but 2 star motel.
