Lovely castle with a very in depth tour. Worth a visit. They had a little exhibition going on in the courtyard while we were there with a falconer and guards \fighting\. Great for kids. Also a brewery right there but we didn't go in.

Very cool castle! We were lucky and there was even sword fighting and snake and bird exhibitions. The castle is huge, the full 2h tour is a little bit too long. However, the guide is knowledgeable and funny. Unfortunately they don't provide English guided tours, they only offer a leaflet for 30Kč, which loosely matches what the guide is saying.
A 900 year old castle with lovely gothic architecture, in the scenic hills, only about 40km from Prague. Worth a look! They have a little courtyard selling snacks and hot wine as well.
Very nice place. I recommend the castle tour but the guide only speaks Czech.
An interesting castle to visit if you are interested in learning about the castle's famous prisoners. Methods of torture are also discussed during a guided tour. Ask about the use of cats!
Excellent your if the oldest castle in the Czech Republic. Book a tour online before you arrive to avoid disappointment, as entry to the castle and tower is by guided tour only.
Definitely worth a day trip, The Křivoklát Castle is lovely place, There are tours inside and passes to allow access to roam along the walls and climb up the Towers top. There are restaurants, jewelry stores and archery station to test your accuracy. Plus outside of the castle grounds there are a few look out spots to view the glorious views of the castle.
unique castle with true atmosphere, strongly recommend. you will be allowed to walk freely on the walls. There was also very nice glass hand made shop where you can buy interesting things in medieval/baroque style.
