Nice atmosphere. Interesting views. Would recommend to people interested in medieval castles and history. The castle bears historical significant value in the formation of Bohemia in general.

This castle is one of the best kept castles is Europe. It is just a wonderful place which has everything. From torture rooms with several floors under the walking level up to feast rooms with many old collections and a magnificent view. This is a big recommendation to see! Ticket price was something like 4 euro. With free parking 200 meters from the castle. And we've made a walking tour around the castle. Really great!

Beautiful castle to visit and spend a day in town! It's located on a hill and when you go to the top of the castle you can enjoy the beautiful views! Interesting and a little bit scary torture display. Better to visit in a warm sunny day cause inside it's cold. Recommend it!

Perfect castle. You can get lost easily in there, it's interconnected in many ways, you can go five floors down and five floors up and watch the countryside and admire old furniture and feel like in a fairytale. Loved it. And it's opened in winter. Also don't forget to have a walk along the river on the opposite side and take a look at the castle from far away. It's just perfect

Really cool castle with an awesome town surrounding it. The location on a peninsula on a river was amazing. Some really interesting exhibits including a rather disturbing one on medieval torture that is not appropriate for young children. Definitely worth a trip if you are in Eastern Bavaria or Czech republic.

Charming little town without hordes of tourists. This is a great place to get a feel for the towns outside of Prague. The castle is simple and they give you access to it most of it. Then there is the infamous dungeon and torture portion. I had kids 9, 11 and 15 and they were ok but I think a little appalled at the brutality people would inflict on others. Nothing was super realistic but just seeing it made them all quiet. It is inexpensive to get in, the castle has been maintained well, and the river around the wall is very cool. Eat lunch and spend a few hours, it’s a great site.
