This course brought me to Prague and now it is helping me stay here. It is a truly all inclusive course that teaches you how to become a effective teacher and provides you with everything you need to adjust to daily life in a new culture. This is a month long intensive course with a mixture of classroom learning, learning from your peers and real-life teaching experience to multiple levels of language learners. There is plenty of feedback that is provided to help you improve your skills as a teacher and help you grow. After taking this course I am confident in my skills and abilities as a English teacher. Overall, if you are looking to travel abroad and live in another country, I highly recommend taking this course. It will provide you with all the tools a skills needed to make your dream a reality.

I just recently finished The Language House TEFL course and it was such an amazing and fun experience. The teachers at this school were incredibly helpful and very nice. I learn so much during my one month intensive course and definitely recommend this course to anyone who is considering a TEFL certification. The owner Chris is fantastic and really makes sure that you are learning all the information you need and also enjoying your time in Prague. The rest of the staff is also always making sure you understand the material and are very helpful. The course is intensive, but there are many opportunities that Chris and the staff provide to wind down and enjoy the wonderful city of Prague. This course was better than what I expected and again I would recommend this course to everyone.

The Language House offers a full-on intensive TEFL training program, with very experienced and proficient staff. If hoping for a simple pay-and-show-up certificate, this may not be the program for you, as it requires significant energy and determination, but it is the appropriate training to enable you to be properly prepared and succeed as a certified TEFL teacher. The school and staff are friendly and accessible for a wide range of services and information to help you get situated in Prague. Highly recommended for those ready to make a positive change in their lives and have a little adventure at the same time!
Speaking as someone who got screwed over by private schools in the States, I was very iffy about giving my time and money to the Language House. However, having finished my May term, I can easily say it was 100% worth it. They're a trustworthy company, their teachers are amazing, and they give you a lot of actual practice with actual students to get you ready for getting a job. I'm extremely satisfied and I can't imagine having picked a better school. I hope you have fun too, if you decide to go!
When I decided to live and teach abroad, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The Language House TEFL course in Prague was more than I could have imagined. I thought it would be simple to come to Prague and immediately start teaching. Not the case. However, The Language House taught me so much more I needed to learn about grammar, teaching and confidence. They also helped get me settled into a foreign environment by providing a great comfort system. I was able to practice teaching, brush up on my grammar and learn invaluable teaching skills. I made great friends through the course along the way. Now I am able to live in Prague, work and make friends in the Czech Republic. The Language House offered a comfortable environment to work on our projects, nice housing for the duration of the course and great tips on finding a job. If you are considering moving abroad to teach, I would definitely suggest The Language House.
The Language House TEFL might have been the best decision I've made. The course was intensive and thoroughly prepared me for a career in teaching English as a second language. The community and network is unmatched and you will certainly find work. I have been able to teach in Prague for over a year and half now and have opportunities to teach in many other countries that I will pursue in the near future. I have nothing but the highest regard for TLH and recommend it to anyone who is thinking of pursuing teaching English abroad.
Excellent school! Helped with job placement, visa services, finding an apartment, and truly preparing you to be a teacher abroad. This is not a certificate mill, you WILL work to earn it, but when you graduate you will absolutely be prepared. Best decision I've ever made in my life.
