Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences is a workplace of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague which is specialized in agriculture and rural development in the tropics and subtropics. Its history extends to the 1960s when it was founded as a small “Department of the World Agriculture and Forestry” (DWAF) at the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Agriculture in Prague. In 1967 the department was upgraded to the “Institute of Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture” and in 2003 was the Institute renamed again to “Institute of Tropics and Subtropics”. On 1st January 2013 Institute of Tropics and Subtropics became Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences.
