8000 for a shared room in Prague is nothing short of an absolute rip off. You can get a nicer and bigger single room for the price in an apartment in the center for that price. How does this place even have anyone paying for this extremely overpriced service is beyond me..

Okay so I’m gonna start off with saying that this dorm has a lot of flaws but it is still a decent dorm for students who aren’t expecting much I feel the dorm isn’t that bad but my experience really sucked . I lived here for a year from 2018-2019 and when I first came to the dorm i had to change my room for reason that aren’t that important but when I got my new room I’m pretty sure they didn’t check the new room at all because the room was a mess and that was the fault of my roommate but they could have checked it at least and to continue my roommate was absolutely disgusting I mean like he had a cupboard but never used it his stuff was everywhere and I complained to the receptionist multiple times but all they did was send an email that’s it, I believe they threatened him with a fine but he didn’t do anything about the mess so I went to them again and they refused to do anything about it, but then they randomly come into the room and charge me with a fine even though I mentioned it to them multiple times. I feel it’s a huge invasion of privacy when they randomly come into the room and use their master key to open the door and I’m asleep half naked to do check-ups I understand that you have to do the check-ups but it wouldn’t hurt to send an email. Another thing I’d like to bring up is the price the price is pretty high for how far it is from the center and compared to other dorms which are really close to the center and are just as good as this one, although the kitchen looks really nice It’s doesn’t have some of the important things like a microwave, oven and a kettle however there is a microwave but it’s all the way on the ground floor which is really inconvenient. All in all the dorm is okay if you’re university or school is close by, but if you’re university or school is near the center I wouldn’t recommend this you can get dorms for cheaper that are really close to the center
Decent housing for students and temporary housing for expats. The neighborhood is alright, typical Czech housing estates, metro 5 min away. Rooms are a wee small, reception hours are pretty spotty (hours to buy laundry coins or pay for rent are suppose to be 8:00-20:00 but there have been plenty of says I came at 19:00 and even 18:30 and they claimed to be closed) and laundry is a bit overpriced (50kč for a load) but rent is some of the cheapest in Prague which makes up for being locked into a pretty tight contract with little wiggle room to leave whenever, they have a pretty strict, required 3 month notice /:
I stayed at Rooms5 for an entire year, and I would not recommend it to anyone. To be clear, it functions more like a hostel than a dormitory or an apartment. Importantly, the power would go out once every few weeks, because the fire alarms are directly above the stoves, and when they were triggered power went out for the whole building. Sometimes it would be out for 20 minutes, sometimes it would be out all night. And, when the power went out, the WiFi would never turn back on once the power did. That would take hours longer. I’m not sure how Rooms5 can consider themselves a student dormitory, since they often fail to provide even the most basic needs for studying, like electricity and internet. This was a frequent problem. When I first arrived, the room was filthy. The bathroom floor was disgusting. And to my surprise, they threatened to charge me if I didn’t clean it, despite the fact that the room wasn’t satisfactory on my arrival. That is the way it went all year. They would come into the room at random times, unannounced, and threaten (or follow through with) fines. Sometimes the room would be clean and they would threaten a fine, sometimes it would be dirty and they would not, I never knew. Finally, the rent really isn’t wasn’t cheap as it looked. Add on any fines you get (which you will), and it’s only about 50 USD per month less than a nice room, right downtown. Financially, if you can possibly manage to stay elsewhere, do so. My year with Rooms5 was an altogether miserable experience, and I remain incredibly dissatisfied with both the quality of housing and service they provided.
Very modern hostel comparing to other hostels in the city, it's located a bit far from city center , but closer to Dejvecka and Andĕl area about 30-40 mins. There is a very tiny market next to it and petrol station non-stop 5 mins walking. Has fast connection to the Motol hospital-5 mins by car. Very helfpul staff , nice facilities in the hostel , containing washing room(washing and drying machine), cafe room just next to the reception(it's desined for fun- chatting and interacting with others, also you can bring your PS and play in this cafe room), they offer a cleaning service but with extra charge The hostel has 3 different types of room: 1st single room 2nd large double room 3rd normal double room In all these types, you share the kitchen and the bathroom with only one room,so it's a like a unit (2 rooms kitchen bathroom) This unit has 1 big bathroom 1 toilet
Lovely staff, close to a subway and a bus station, perfect rooms and brand new furniture!
