This monument stands in tribute to Václav Štulc, a 19th century Czech priest, writer, translator and patriotic, who wanted to restore Vyšehrad provost to its former importance. This monument features a bust of Štulc which also includes his upper torso and wearing priestly garments. The bust sits atop a sandstone pedestal in the shape of a graded prism between two pylons. The hands of Štulc is place in front and is a bunch of documents. Ironically, this monument is in Vyšehrad, so he got his wish after all. The statue can be located in the gardens at the northern end of Vyšehrad. There's also a statue of Saint Wenceslas here and a viewpoint with beautiful of the city below.
