Wheelchair-accessible entrance
This monument stands in tribute to Jaroslav Hašek a Czech writer, humorist, satirist and journalist. The monument is a stylised equestrian sculpture. The horse is in the shape of a table with structures added to make the artistic intentions clear. Hašek is depicted as a bust atop a plinth and laid down on the table as if riding the horse. This modern art sculpture is well intentioned, but probably not to everyone’s taste. I along came across this sculpture on my way to the national monument. Unless you’re into modern art or interesting in the author, this monument is too far out of the way from the main tourist circuit to warrant visiting.

В Чехии, Ярослава Гашека,не просто чтят и уважают - его просто обожают... Благодаря его причудливым историям, про бравого солдата Швейка,ему установлено,чтобы не ошибиться, кажется 7 памятников,в разных уголках мира... Этот,на Родине, появился на свет в 2005 году, благодаря Карелу Непрашу и его дочери - Каролине... Кстати и место выбрано неслучайно,в паре кварталов от него,он проживал и начинал там творить \свои байки\. Замысловатый монумент коня с наездником,из бронзы - каждый имеет право трактовать как велит ему его фантазия и понимание,не раз перечитанных, похождений Швейка...
