Directed to try this restaurant from Honest Guide. Man behind counter was helpful and tried to explain as best he could the different dishes in English. We enjoyed two orders of meatloaf, two orders of pork goulash and dumplings, one roast pork, chicken noodle soup, beef stomach soup, extra bread, and some crunchy pork bits that looked like fried potatoes. This fed our family of 5 for 520 CZK! We ordered everything takeout because it was standing room only. Our first taste of authentic Czech food. Thank you!

The bistro has been recently redesigned. You can meet both workers and businessmen here. You can either stand while eating your food or go to the cellar wher you can find seating. The food is dirt cheap and of really good quality. I know because I am Czech. They have classical czech cousine, mostly meat based dishes.
Old school (in a good sense) butcher and deli. The butcher has wide selection of game meat and sausages (red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar) and horse sausages. Deli has classic simple hearty stuff like meatloaf and tripe soup. There is a restaurant next door by the same owner.

Chodím sem roky a vždy vše v pořádku
Obrovská proměna již dost ošuntělé jídelny, kam už desetiletí rád chodím na hovězí nebo držkovou polévku a několik druhů guláše. Prostředí mě doslova vyrazilo dech a musím vyseknout poklonu tomu, kdo udělal takovou ráznou, moderni a fakt krásnou změnu. I polévka je pořád stejně dobrá.
