One of the best traditionally made Czech dishes in all of Prague. As it states in its name it in fact is a 'Czech Eatery' - you get the whole experience, very warm, welcoming and fun owner who cooks the dishes everyday and then serves you at the counter with a big smile and witty jokes. Bar tables (meaning you stand, rather than sit) where you can share the meal with either local office workers, builders and locals from all walks of life the Czech way. You also have an option to do 'take away'. After the hearty meal we have then ventured to a park called 'Stromovka' which is beautiful and large enough for you to enjoy a little quit moment and help you to digest after your visit at 'Ceska Jidelna'. I have been to many restaurants and pubs in Prague, but in my humble, opinion this is one of the top places to experience a genuine czech food (not pretentious and well made). Especially considering the very low cost. Go and try for yourself the first chance you get.

Perfect cheap option for a filling lunch with traditional Czech meals. The only downside is that there are NO vegetarian options AT ALL... Prompt service at the counter, generous portions.

Walked by and it was full of locals grabbing lunch. This is real good home cooked food. For 82 Kc I got rice with tender pork and salad with this amazing meat marinade covering the rice.

Simple but proper old school eatery where for exactly 100 you get a meaty main dish, a very good soup and a lemonade. There is a a couple bar chairs, or you can stand, or take the food away.
