The receptionist can't speak english and they give a really bad attitude to english speaking people! Rooms are smelly and old, beds are not comfortable at all. I tried other dorms as they are better and more flexible... btw the picture I attached is a house close to this dorm which is kinda disrespectful to American!

If you are lucky it's great but otherwise it's communist era style living.

It is cheap. you got your own bathroom and kitchen with other three. The dungeon is kind of scary And the laundry room is always a mysterious.

It's perfectly acceptable if the only time you spend here is at night for sleeping. However, the construction will wake you up at 6:00 in the morning, and the rooms are incredibly dusty. We also had an issue with the WiFi where the provided credentials were set to expire on a Friday, and they didn't have anyone come by to reset them until Monday morning, meaning there was no WiFi access for that weekend.

One of the best dorms of Charles University

One of the better student dormitories in Prague. Beautiful panorama from the upper floors. Problems with water - about once a month they stop it for a couple of hours. Also waiting for the elevator gets too long on a busy day. School canteen in the basement (Cooks lunch only) also table tennis room, piano room. Useful stuff to borrow at the reception - bike pump, vacuum cleaner, etc.

Rooms are fine, loads of construction work being done, also inside the dorm, meaning sometimes people enter your room without even knocking. Talking to a receptionist is like a russian roulette. Usually they try to understand you but sometimes you get a guy that starts yelling at you for not speaking czech. All I wanted was a key for a washing machine. (I even used the czech words) The minishop is a big highlight! Generally most people are kind and welcoming.

The quality of the rooms is marginally acceptable (some are renovated) and the water is rusty from time to time. There is stable 100mbs internet but only over Ethernet cable. The user is also required to follow a lengthy setup procedure to log into the network. Other than that rooms are a decent size, repairs are done swiftly, public transport is accessible and the on-site cafeteria is convenient.
