I have stayed at the Hotel U Prince dozens of times over the last 20 years. The Black Angel was a hidden gem back then and a true treasure of a find! Watching the bartenders make the drinks is as enjoyable as drinking their concoctions! Over the years, \The Angel\ has become recognized as one of the best in the world and yet they have not lost any of that charm/warmth I experienced way back in the late 1990's. Black Angel’s is one of the places where you get Old Fashioned rich, smooth, and silky as in a dream. Or, if you are into experimenting, you can try its local - Becherovka based - version called Bohemian Manhattan. If you choose bitter-sweet cocktail named Leave a message - Havana Club aňejo 7 años, mixed with fresh lime, grapefruit juice, sugar syrup and spiced up with absinthe, you will be asked to – surprise – leave a message in their notebook. For example: “Miss Kelly enters Black Angel’s. The place seems as familiar as it always was. The golden cherub hung suspended lost in his own music, just as he did with Wolfgang at the Estates Theater in 1787. Although, the bottle of the gin – this time saffron flavored - was different. One sip, she knew, would bring her Daniel’s love, but at what cost?”
This is one of the greatest expiriences we’ve had in prague. We had a place at the bar and the best bartender ever. It was a pleasure to watch how he‘s making the cocktails, he was a mix out of an artist and a magician. We just told him what we like and he conjure awesome drinks out of that. 5 stars for the bar, 10 stars for the bartender and his drinks.
This is mine and my husband's favourite cocktail bar. The atmosphere and service are always so great and the drinks menu is to die for! Although it's a little pricey depending on the drink you choose, there is something for everybody and it's possible to order anything from a simple beer to a 60 glass of whiskey. There is a choice of seating either at the bar or at a table and there are so many quirky nooks, crannies and little intrigues all over the place to draw your eye. Cocktails are prepared and mixed in a traditional way and the experience is always so luxurious but you can enjoy it even if you are on a budget.
wow... these guys are highly professional and know exactly what they are doing. the service is immaculate and knows every spirit and cocktail on the menu. I'm definitely coming back on my next visit to Prague. thank you again for the amazing night
What a fantastic bar, great selection of spirits and cocktails. Very knowledgeable, and friendly staff, who when asked will mix your favourite drink or will gladly accept a challenge. Also has a piano which adds to the atmosphere. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable place to unwind over a few drinks.
My dad and I had an amazing night here. We came in to celebrate good news we received and left even happier. The cocktails were amazing and the decor was so interesting, but the bartender we had really made the night for us. He was talented and super fun to talk to, I really recommend coming here to test his creativity
Very nice location...really worth to see it! The food and cocktails are very tasty and delicious, too!
