We visited Prague almost a year ago and attended an Organ Recital on their massive ancient organ.. We then proceeded to a little cafe on the pavement and walkway to the spectacular Charles Bridge. The Church is a monument to the opulence of the time, albeit stunning.

Beautiful Baroque style church at the foot of the Charles Bridge. Lots of statues decorating the outside of the building. You can buy tickets here for concerts, and religious services are still carried out here. The church looks stunning lit up at night and is worth a look.

A church on one end of Charles Bridge. I didn't notice it until I looked back when I got to the bridge. It has quite a few statues on the roof which looked interesting.

Simply stunning. Breathtakingly beautiful. We listened to a Christmas recital of Vivaldi here and it was phenomenal. That’s what Christmas is all about!

The Jesuits built St. Salvator Church in the Gothic style between 1578-1601, although important Baroque features were added between 1649-1654. Famous architects Lurago, Caratti and Kanka were all involved in its construction. Today, the church is considered one of the most valuable examples of early-Baroque architecture in Prague. It has a beautiful Baroque facia, with porticos decorated with sand-stone sculptures of saints by Jan Jirí Bendl. A niche in the wall houses a sculpture of the Virgin Mary.

We were here for a classical music concert, during the day there are people outside the church who advertise it and a stall where you can buy tickets (also available online). The church is beautiful but compared to the other ones that can be visited in Prague it is obviously not the best. Despite the heating, it's very cold so if you come here for the concert be sure to cover yourself well during the cold seasons.

I purchased tickets to see a concert there. Horrible experience. After first long line I was told to go to another line to get a seat assignment. Did that, then back to original line. Same guy said \ sit anywhere \. There were no seats left. People were actually walking in for free at this point. It was a joke. Beautiful church and I'm sure the orchestra was fine but I had to walk out. Pathetic !!!
