An absolute gem. My favourite bar in Prague by far! The interior is beyond beautiful. On our second evening there we were recommended the table on the right upstairs with a beautiful view and we enjoyed every moment there. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I love the story/meaning behind this place. Unfortunately, choose your fate was not an option this time but I will be back to try it one day!

Prepare to be dazzled here! Stumbling across this bar was the highlight of my foray into Prague nightlife. The bar was decorated like one of Lewis Carroll's daydreams, with eclectic furnishings and a hushed ambience. The staff were amazingly friendly, and more than willing to create some special new concoctions to suit your tastes. If you're a fan of a quirky aesthetic and delicious cocktails, do yourself a favour and visit this bar.
Cool place to grab a well-crafted cocktail in Prague! There is normally a line outside, but it goes quickly. I had a traditional absinthe (seen below), and my hubby tried some of the more fun cocktail drinks! He got a drink in a seashell and a drink in an apple. Great presentation, knowledgeable bartenders, and an overall wonderful experience! Don’t let the line outside throw you off!
Best cocktail bar I've ever been in! Ambiance is wonderful and just what you'd expect given the theme. The \coffee your fate\ cocktail presentation was presented very theatrically and was great fun- not to mention delicious! The cocktails I had were clearly well thought out- though they may or may not suit an individual's taste as they go well beyond the traditional range (I had one designed to pair well with an in-house made spicy jerky- both were delicious!). The scavenger hunt aspect of the choose your fate game sounded very fun, though I didn't have enough time in Prague to complete it.
We were looking for a fun night out in Prague and decided to try out The Alchemist Bar based off the reviews we found online. LOVED everything about this bar. The furniture was an eclectic mix of period pieces, the staff was amazing and the drinks were delicious! What truly made the evening was the experience of the bar. We decided to choose our own fate (the card you pull determines the drink you get and these are not on the menu) and we were delighted by the drinks and the presentation of each along with an adventure to boot! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for something to get you out of the tourist traps.
Yeah... Don't bother thinking, just go there. Amazing cocktails, mind-blowing interior, the bartender's know their spirits and are always keen to chat. Perfect location with view on the museum. Really worth checking out.
It is a wonderful place, with a character all its own. And the drinks... I've never tasted anything like it before. Great creative cocktail ideas.
I don’t know how this place got the high rating. The cocktails are wayyyyyy overpriced for what they are(they look pretty that’s all). The space itself looks like it’s designed for tourists, lacks authenticity. Bar staff were great though, the only reason it deserves 2 stars
