Relatively young graphite mine with authentic tooling left on place. Good place for rainy days. Good price /value. At the entrance, visitors are equipped with protection coats, boots, helmets and original mining lamps. Then we were seated into miner's train which took us in the middle of the mountain. While walking, various mining equipment was shown to us while exploring dark corners with our headlamps. The tour ends at the foot of the mountain. Graphite mine is a good place for all kind of visitors, including families with children or mining enthusiasts like me :)

The mine was an interesting experience taking a small train into a mountain on a hot day and then being in a cave that was freezing. I really enjoyed the break from the heat. The mine was cool seeing graphite on the walls. In some areas you could see and touch veins of graphite.

Fun experience on the ride but no English guide (You have to read the given note during the tour instead).

Very interesting place for visitor of Cesky Krumlov You go down to the mines with old train All visitors get safety vests and old flash lights Don't forget take a jacket with there is 10 degrees of Celsius all year ,take an extra flash light for better view A lot of fun for whole family and a group Highly recommended

Cool mine under Krumlov, good inviews in the life of a miner and graphite production. Only one thing was not understandable - an area living from tourists should offer English guidanse in the middle of Europe in the 21th century! Anyway a great event for all interested in geilogy and mineralogy
