One of the best regional museums in Southern Bohemia, and not crowded with the hordes of tourists you see on all other hotspots of Krumlov. Take 2-3 hours of time and enjoy! Czech language skills are for sure benefits your experience, not all descriptions are translated.

Beautiful place, cheep entrance , 3 floors, toilets available, from stoneage to nowadays
Small but very complete museum exhibiting works of local artists (we saw Martin Sital & Marie Sitalova's one which was amazing) as well as the history of this area from pre-historical ages up to today. The part about the war time was particularly eye-opening.
Honestly this is a very old school style museum. The artifacts on the 3rd floor are beautiful but the second floor is posters after poster of facts. It’s just the most boring way of presenting what I can only imagine is a fascinating history. I’ll never know, bc after the 5th poster I just got bored out of my mind and walked through the rest of the museum. I LOVE history but this was just hard to consume. Definitely not appropriate for kids.
Beautiful place; in fact the whole town is. Great castle too. Well worth a visit.
Nice Museum, especially the City Model is worth to see
A bit hot and missing some English but it was an interesting museum.
If you are interested in Czech history in general, and the history of this town, go and spend an hour or so.
