I personally don't have any issues with John Reed fitness. Communication is well managed and they are willing to accommodate your request. For instance , I was charged 1x700 for closed fitness but upon my request they will not charge the next month without any extension, because I am leaving the country before my contract came to the end. So, I think it's about communication. If you have confirmation that your contract will not be extended and so on, then you can not have any problem with john reed. Giving best review, however some swimming pool is missing otherwise the best fitness for me.

A nice gym but appalling customer service. I lived in Prague briefly for three months and took out a three month membership - since then I have been hounded for payment of a non existent contract with all of my communication ignored. I'd think twice about joining given the level of service.

Good gym. Tired of wearing face masks. You should buy a locker to use wardrobe (it could be more comfortable if you are able to use your card instead of locker)

You will have a hell of a time, trying to cancel their contract. I'm currently resolving it with Czech trade inspection. I hope someone reads this and thinks twice before signing with the devil

The worst service I have ever seen in my entire life. I sent a doctor’s confirmation to end my contact in February 2020, they ignored it, continue to charge my account. You can NEVER reach them by phone as it’s always “busy”. They NEVER call you back. They answer your mail 2 weeks later and don’t solve the problem, just try to prolong the time to tell you later it’s too late and charge you for more months. It’s the end of August 2020, they keep charging my account, ignore my emails and never call me back. AVOID this place, these people only want to grab your money.

As I read before it is not the first case. Be careful with the contract, it updates automatically, so even though I wanted to cancel my contract they extended it for 1 year, because Apparently you need to cancel 1 month before. They said they « advice » you to read the contract, which is in Czech, so not very expat friendly and they just tell you to sign. Customer Support was really horrible when I tried to argue it saying things like « Then why do you sign a contract you don’t understand » definitely not trying to look for a solution, being really rude and finally hanged up on me when I asked for another contact ??? What kind of service is that.

I went on Tuesday morning requesting information and a very kind girl attended me, so I decided to go to do the trial in the afternoon with a friend and join us together. We come back and the manager was very friendly and helpful by explaining everything. As it got late we decided to sign up another day, so today Friday we went to the gym to start our subscription, our surprise that we found another receptionist, not very kind, we asked him about the new promotion (he could not tell us nothing) and if there is any other alternative to subscribe less time even without promotion, (3 months/6months) the only option that this person offers us is to come back on Monday and that we make the one-year contract, when we try to make him understand that we want to register for less time and today, he continues to insist that the best offer is to come back on Monday and sign up for a year ...I do not understand how such an irritating and hesitant person can be at a reception in a friendly place. Honestly, I loved the gym, the staff from the first day was incredible but today that person has taken away all the desire to join this team. Repeating that he does not lie that the best option is return on monday and pay for a year... I wanted to sign up today Friday and start my workout on weekend but the only thing he has achieved is that I go home disappointed and without a subscription to the gym. I will think about to go on monday or find another gym nearby.
