Becherovka - a very typical wine when you think of the Czech Republic, especially on cold winter days, because Becherovka is very hot drink - you can see many images of Becherovka in this beautiful city.

We love stopping in when we are in town. We always enjoy a visit. This time we asked in the gift shop about the new unfiltered version. (The woman at the shop didn't want to answer questions. Wish she hadn't been so rude.) But it's a great place to go, especially if it's raining as it's all indoors. A really excellent crystal shop and porcelain shop. There is a cafe, a restaurant, a money exchange and bathrooms.

When you want to learn now about how Becherovka was made, this has the place to be! Very nice museum with competent guides and a nice movie when the tour started. At the end we could taste four different flavours and got some background information.

The tour is good but very rushed. It would be much better if it took longer so people could enjoy at a normal pace.

Reservation needed to enter the museum. Even off season at a week day, so I you are dead set on going inside, make a reservation. We just ended up tasting the newer Becherovkas that we did not yet know at the cafe and getting some coffee. The interior hall and the coffee place are nicely decorated, the coffee was OK. 3 Stars for the coffee place which was average, it is a nice stop when walking trough Karlsbad. I do not rate the museum as we didnt visit it.

Very pleasant visit! We really loved this experience, even tho we didn’t like the taste of Becherovka. We got the basic ticket (45min 4 types of Becherovka tasting) the visit started with a short introduction, then we could see the history and how the “herb medicine” is made. The last part of the visit was tasting. The whole time we had a very nice and funny tour guide. Part of the visit was a free photoshoot - so much fun. We could send the photo to our email for free - amazing!! Definitely recommend!

Well organized, interesting. Only the guidance is not in the good level...Staff looks like they are not happy to work here...
