Between 1901-1995 a stone mine. Until 1965 operated by a cable car & steam engines. At the moment, a beautiful spot, charming for a swim, must be spectacular for the winter skating.

Lovely quarry, clean water, very refreshing, not too crowded. One side is equipped with a little beach, on the other side you will find calm places under some scanty trees - however, not very much of shadow. There's a little pub/bar to grab a snack too. During peak season there's a little fee for parking as well as a little entrance fee for the carry itself.

We went camping here very recently. Nice camping area with quite Afew places to camp including some grass areas and loads of space with very accessible places to park your camper. Very scenic with lots of trails that are not to differcult to walk. Good shoes are recommended though. Camping your tent for the night is around 400 Czech kronen. No power available though. There is a little beach area with sand and flushing toilets and loads of parking if you decide you want to go for the day. Gets quite busy. The beautiful township is only about 1 kilometer away with some very nice cafes and pubs and walks through the parks that serves really good food with friendly staff. Also at the campsite is a family owned pub/ restaurant that also has rooms available should you want the luxury of a bathroom and comfortable bed. Booking is ahead is probably a good idea. Great for the kids. Nice and relaxing, and there is even a big raft that you can swim out to and jump off. We look forward to going here again.

Nice, natural lake, the water temperature was just right, bar with junk food and beer, even with a flashing toilet and clean surroundings. Not much of a shade when full of people.
