Regional Technological Institute (RTI) is an engineering and technological research center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (CZ). The activities of the RTI research centre are carried out in research programmes, which are specialized on research and development of modern vehicle structures and their driving systems, machine tools and their modernization, forming technologies, machining technologies and aditive technologies. RTI is a modern university research center and we are very well equipped for research, development and various testing and analyses of materials and mechanical engineering structures. A hundred predominantly young scientists and technicians work in following research programmes (laboratories): - Virtual prototyping - Technological manufacturing planning - Industrial metrology - Machining technology (including Additive Manufacturing) - Experimental machining - Experimental forming - Metallographic - Mechanical testing - Transport vehicle components testing - Strength and fatigue life testing - Experimental methods for mechanical engineering - Smart Factory / Industry 4
