Memory of Nations is the biggest online collection of memories of the 20th century in Europe open to the public since 2008. It was founded by a non-profit organization called Post Bellum (in latin: after war) which was established in 2001 by a group of journalists and historians from the Czech Republic. They believed that people should have the opportunity to tell their stories and that these stories should be accessible to everyone.
