The Maltezske Namesti is a public square in the Malá Strana district of Prague. There's not really much in the square, although there are some cafes and restaurants, but not really a tourist hotspot. The square a monument to St John the Baptist and is also close to Mary under the chains church, but I wouldn't go out of the way for any of these things. Only visit if you have time, especially as the place seems quite quiet by early evening.

The statue and architecture of the buildings around are worth a visit if you are nearby. But don’t expect too much. It’s still a statue.

The statue of John the Baptist is an outdoor sculpture by leading Baroque Era sculptor Ferdinand Maxmilián Brokoff, installed at Maltézské Square in Malá Strana, Prague, Czech Republic. Brokoff is also credited for creating some of the stellar statues on Charles Bridge in Prague, including the statuary of St. Adalbert, the statue of St. Gaetano, the sculpture group of Francis Borgia, the statues of St. Ignatius and Francis Xaverius, Statues of Saints John of Matha, Felix of Valois and Ivan including the famous statue of Turk, and so on.
