The monestary church is very beautiful, but the library collection is actually what drew me to the site. It is well worth the extra money to book a private guided tour. My guide Ivana was wonderful. The private tour allows one to immerse oneself into the history of this still operating abbey. The collection is simply amazing and a national Czech treasure.

We came up and had a look around the outside. We ended up going to the garden on the end with incredible views of the city. The entrance to the monastery was through an archway on the side of the building, with a lion statue holding a shield. We ended up not going inside though. We did, however, end up taking a break at the restaurant nearby which brewed their own beers.

Very beautiful library and definitely worth a visit. However, it's a pity that you can't take photos inside for free (extra cost of 50 CZK) and that you can't actually enter the library room. You can only look through the door. Anyways I'm happy that I've visited the library and the (luxury) monastery.

Beautiful libraries and church. The downside is that they don't let you get close to them. You just watch from a distance, and if you want to take a photo, you have to pay extra. Near the monastery, there is also a great view.

Hi we visited here but we didn't purchase any entry tickets to view the library or picture gallery. There is access to the chapel at the monastery and it's an impressive building as per the pictures. There are a number of bars and restaurants outside that sell beer made in micro breweries on the grounds of the monastery. If you fancied a pint. I have included pictures of the St Norbert bar we went to. Who said they were the only bar that actually brewed their beer on the monastery and the others are brewed somewhere else. So don't know who is telling the truth really. The scenery from the monastery is amazing also. As it gives you a view right across Prague.

A little bit off the beaten track, definitely a must go if you’re staying in Praha 6. The Bellavista restaurant on the hill is a nice place to sit down, enjoy the view and the green-tinted beer. The reviews are not favorable but it’s really worth it – even more, it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay in Prague. To me it was more about the views than the monastery itself, and this alone was worth it :)

Beautiful place in Bratislava city. The library and museum have lunch time closure time, so when you wanna visit them in lunchtime, you should check out their opening hours in advance. There is a beautiful view today city the river, so I highly recommend to wear flat shoes if possible to be able to walk on the bumpy road.
