As an exchange student, I’m not a good verdict on Czech food and how it should taste. However, I dine at this restaurant/canteen whenever I can (opening hours: weekdays, 8-2pm) I really appreciate that every component of the meal is really good (from the meat, to the mashed potato, and the veggies - cabbage/pickles) and so far I have never left any food behind despite the big portions. I also love that the staff there is really patient with me, despite my lack of czech language. I feel like it’s hard to find a better value meal and experience in this area.
Best Jídelna in Prague. Delicious big portions for quite cheap prices. Ryzek is my favorite!
Great Czech canteen with traditional local food for a great price. Do not expect anything fancy. Can get crowded during lunch time.
Typical Czech dining place with typical Czech food. Fair prices. Fried cheese (smažák) very tasty, I recommend.
Best place for miles around if you just want FOOD and nothing fancy for very cheap prices. Not a huge eater? Take a half portion. That comes down to a normal restaurant meal.
