Improved a lot over the last years. Enough shopping options, but still just a few real restaurants. Café "Fantova kavárna" that is on the upper floor on the historic departure hall is really beautiful.

Superb architect... great interior design.
What can I say about this train station? Utterly disorganized, asking any staff member for assistance and you'll get a shrug and "I don't know", there are no staff organizing passengers on the platforms, the info is unclear, the car numbers are not marked on platform, which lead to gridlock as everyone boarded mid-train. The train only arrived 7 mins prior to departing so people could not get off to find their car efficiently. After 20mins we managed to get to our seats. Most chaotic train experience I've encountered. At least it left on time...
Easy to navigate and modernised main entrance area. Ticket counter staff was helpful.
Great subterranean station. It's a pity that it has too few seats.
Architecture beautiful......but,I go to a railway station to buy a ticket and to take a train.Here-no vending machines...super.Row yourself up to ticket desk....international desks dont serve domestic and because of lack of demand-dont work....but at local not possible to buy within 20 mins a ticket for a suburban train and missed the connection.A shame for a touristical center!!
Prague main railway Station has been going threw a major reconstruction and facelift for quite a long time, however the worst was still around 2000 - 2004 where the main platforms we're completely gutted and the place looked rather drab. The station today offers a rather good standard of traveling. Station has several levels with the main ground level housing all the services, ticket sales, shops cafes and restaurants etc. This has an exit 2 a park and access to eroad benefit and tram stations minutes away on foot. You can reach the station mainly by subway. The platforms are situated 1 level higher and it is on the same level as the station's historical building with the famous and now beautifully fixed Fantova kavarna with its large Dome. The historical building will give you access to platform 1 only and direct exit to I rather busy four lane motorway ( that is where you get on the airport express bus). To reach all the platforms there are two long tunnels on the ground level under the platforms where the trains are and this is the only way to and from trains. Please note that the historical building is still undergoing restoration work that was supposed to be finished and completed back in 2010-2012, however the company Grandi Stazionni which was responsible for the project was booted in 2017 for not delivering the project on time and the city of Prague will restore the building on its own. You will find that the old historical glass and steel dome from the 19th covering platforms one until 4 has been beautifully restored after working on it for almost 3 years. There is no denying that Train transport is being used to the fullest so the station can be crowded in rush hours. Give yourself ample time so you get to your train and platform.
Platforms are not clean and signs to platforms are also not clear. Supermarkets inside the station are nice
