Several exhibits malfunctioning or out of order, but despite that I've really enjoyed time being in here with my kids. Many exhibits are explaining or demonstrating how real stuff are working, it's thus educative in fun way. Also option to leave and return again during the day is very nice, so you can leave elsewhere e.g. for lunch and get back later on. Recommended

Super fun. I don't know who enjoyed it more, my kid or myself. The center is organized by themes, water, air, sound, mechanics, chemistry, biology etc. It's huge and packed with interesting and educational experiments. If you want to see and try most of it you'll need several hours. There is a small bar on 1st floor with refreshments and ice cream.
I've heard that there are so many people but I had this luck to be there (6000m²) and I've seen so far only around 20 people, great experience for me. I could try so many things.
It's a fun place to experience science (or at least the fun part of it!) with kids and other family members. You can even enjoy it alone but the fun triples if you have at least someone with you since quite a few of the devices require two or more people to take a certain action at the same time. 95% of each section has clear English instructions but some are only in local language. They have large areas for smaller kids if they don't like to play with the scientific kits (ie small bicycle road with road lights etc) which could entertain them for couple of hours. Overall, it's meant to be more fun than advanced. I've been to CAS (California Academy of Science) and that place is huge and more advanced, but also less like a playground. Here at VIDA you get to jump while learn about cool scientific facts, cycle over a rope to see how balancing works, play with a gyroscope suitcase to see how hard it is to turn it, even jump in a rotating field and try to hit your friend with a ball and experiencing how hard it will be to aim straight. All in the name of science. I truely enjoyed my time here.
Really good place for kids in all ages. My 7, 9 and 13 old kids were busy all 4 hours and would be ready to spend here more time if would not have next plans for Brno exploring. 75% of all objects had descriptions in EN and DE. Unfortunately most of the digital ones were just in CZ. The centre is divided in several parts according to the interests (body, physics, mathematics, electronics, mechanisms, nature and some others). All the objects can be touched, pulled, pushed, tried, experiments can be self repeated. Photo taking is allowed free of charge and I did it a lot to take descriptions for later explanation of school themes. There was also option to watch cinema which we did not use as it was only in CZ. Children playground. Free parking next to the centre. Air conditioning inside the centre. Clean toilets, drinking water was available for free. If we once will come back to Brno, we will certainly visit this centre again as kids will be older, their interest will be changed and they will find a lot of new interesting things. Definitely 5 stars!
2,5 hours flew by! Kids were very exited, pleased and finally sad to leave. No cafe though :(
Very nice place. So many contraptikns for small and big for everybody . Dont miss it
Great way to get kids interested into science. Complicated things explained in an easy, interactive and practical way. Lot of fun as well. You can spend here hours even if your child is just three years old.
